Thomas Heede is joining the DKW group as a 4+4-PhD student currently enrolled in his Master’s degree in Data Science and Machine Learning here at Aalborg University.
- My research is centered around the large-scale integration of diverse external data sources with bacterial genome data, along with the investigation of hidden connections between such data. I will focus on creating novel Bayesian machine learning approaches to facilitate hidden perspectives on the integrated knowledge graph.
- I will be part of the Dark Science project, a collaboration between the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Chemistry and Bioscience, funded by the Velux Foundations.
The goal is to shed light on unknown microbial matter using data science in order to enhance our understanding of the world we live in.
